Some 40 ducks and chickens were lost to fire that struck a barn in the Town of Herman early Monday morning.
The 911 calls went to the Sheboygan County Emergency Dispatch Center shortly after 4 a.m., reporting a structure on fire on County Road “A” North, about 4 miles west of Howards Grove. Responders arrived to find a barn fully engulfed in flames.
A dozen fire departments from surrounding communities worked to put out the fire, and the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit is working to discover the cause of the blaze.
