SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Small businesses operating within the City of Sheboygan are being offered emergency assistance to help weather the COVID-19 crisis. The project is an economic development activity that’s been funded with the City’s Community Development Block Grant-CV funding and targets businesses with 5 or fewer employees. The fund is available only during the COVID-19 pandemic for businesses ordered to close by the State, and applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
The program is administered by HUD as part of the CARES act, and so it can’t be utilized if other CARES act funds like the Payroll Protection Program have already been accepted.
