MADISON, WI (WSAU) — On the day the Wisconsin Atheltic Department honored the 20th anniversary of the 2000 Final Four team, the current Wisconsin men’s basketball squad came through with a much-needed conference win.
Brevin Pritzl led all scorers with 19 points and the Badgers ran away from Ohio State in the second half to the tune of a 70-57 win on Sunday.
Aleem Ford added 10 points and just missed a double-double with 9 rebounds.
Andre Wesson was the only Buckeye in double figures with 11 points. CJ Walker and Muhammad Luther each added 9 in the loss.
Wisconsin outshot Ohio State 41%-37% in the game. The Buckeyes did win the battle at the free-throw line going 15-16 (94%) while Wisconsin was 10-12 (83%).
Wisconsin will take the rest of the week off before returning to action on Saturday against Nebraska in Lincoln.
