MADISON, WI (WSAU) The Wisconsin Badgers used an aggresive defense and a big day from senior Brevin Pritzl to beat Marquette 77-61 Sunday at the Kohl Center.
Pritzl had 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the balanced attack. Brad Davison had 15 points and all of the Badger starters finished in double-figures.
Marquette’s all time leading scorer Markus Howard had 18 points – ten under his average – and was held to just two points in the second half.
It was the biggest margin of victory for the Badgers against Marquette since 1998 and Wisconsin now leads the series, which dates back to 1917, 68-58.
Wisconsin, now 3-1, will host UW-Green Bay on Thursday.
