A big change in traffic patterns around Sheboygan takes effect today as the I-43 northbound collector and distributor bridge and its associated on and off ramps with Highway 23 are now closed for reconstruction.
While you’ll still be able to exit I-43 onto 23 eastbound, and can also enter I-43 north when coming from the east, the remaining northbound-related ramps and bridges will be closed for at least the next month.
Those wishing to exit I-43 northbound to 23 west will need to continue to Highway 42, navigate the two roundabouts to I-43 south, and then exit at Highway 23 west. Those wishing to go from 23 eastbound onto I-43 north will need to continue to the Taylor Drive exit, and then re-enter 23 west to the I-43 northbound on ramp.
You can access the full I-43 project website here.
