Sheboygan is moving to end an agreement for a proposed downtown hotel project that is nearly five months behind schedule.
A city committee recommended terminating the deal after the developer failed to provide proof of financing or a construction start date. The 104-room hotel was planned for North Eighth Street and Ontario Avenue.
The city still owns the property and says other developers have already expressed interest in the site.
