Quyntin “Andy” Andrews, 93, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. The staff at Rocky Knoll honored Andy with an Honor Walk down the halls, singing “Amazing Grace” and offering prayers. Andy was a beloved father, grandfather, godfather, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Andy was born on February 23, 1933, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to William and Minnie Andrews. He spent his childhood in Franklin Park, Illinois. On June 9, 1956, he married the love of his life, Bette, and together they raised five beautiful daughters, of whom he was immensely proud.
From childhood, Andy dreamed of becoming a pastor. Although he never formally realized that dream, he spent his life loving Jesus, serving others, and sharing the grace of God whenever he could. His favorite phrase, which he shared freely with everyone, was, “God’s Grace be with you.”
Andy earned his bachelor’s degree in teaching from Concordia University Chicago and his master’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago. He spent most of his career serving others as a social worker in various capacities. His work included serving as a school social worker in Shawano, a counselor with Lutheran Child and Family Services, a probation officer for Monroe County in Tomah, and a Prison Social Worker at Waupun State Prison. He completed his career as the founder of Living Way Counseling Services in Tomah.
Andy loved being outside, traveling, fishing, camping with their dear friends Fran and Ivy Flint, playing cards, and attending Barbershop concerts with friends Jerry and Carol Yahn. Andy loved to serve in the church and was instrumental in the building project of Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano. In his later years, he continued to live out his love for Jesus and his desire to serve others by volunteering with the shut-in ministry at his church in Sheboygan.
Andy is survived by his five daughters: Lynda (Carl) Babino of Waupaca, WI; Lynette (Randy) Gibbs of Porterfield, WI; Robin (Richard) Madson of Waupaca, WI; Karen (Dennis) Clark of Tomah, WI; and Nancy Carey of Sheboygan, WI. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, numerous nieces and nephews, his brother Clyde, and the family’s longtime friend, Carol Yahn.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bette; parents, William and Minnie; Bette’s parents, Martin and Beata Clement; his two sisters, Ardys and Awyn; his two brothers, Doyll and Wayne; his son-in-law, Dennis Clark; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and dear family friends Jerry Yahn, Kathy and Jerry Schaefer, and Fran and Ivy Flint.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the wonderful staff at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center— Grace, Liz, Eddie, Eli, Renee, Sherry, and many others—for the loving care they provided and for helping make the last years of Andy’s life so blessed.
A celebration of life for Andy will be held on September 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2132 North 27th Street, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, with visitation beginning one hour before the service. Interment will take place immediately following the service, with a luncheon to follow.
