Teresa “Terri” Salazar Butcher-Yoakum of Sheboygan, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 after a long illness. Teresa was born in Laredo, Texas, the eldest daughter of Guadalupe and Delfina Garza Salazar. Terri raised her family in Sheboygan while working for Kohler Company. After retirement, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling. On June 6, 2013, Terri married Thomas Yoakum. After retirement, Terri and Tom spent many years traveling between their home in San Antonio, TX and Sheboygan.
Terri is survived by her husband, Thomas, her children Wendell Dale Butcher, Janice (Troy) Clark, and Robert (Jennifer) Butcher, and her grandchildren Preston Clark (Kayla), Emma Butcher, and Sophia Butcher.
In addition, she is survived by Tom’s children, Tony (Chrissy), Shannon, Carmen (Mel), Brad, Jamie (Kurt), and their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lydia Tolle of San Antonio, TX, her ex-husband Willie Butcher, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, sister Margarita Salazar Chavez Yurk, and brothers-in-law Darrell Tolle and Armando Chavez.
She was most proud of her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Howard’s Grove, WI. She will be laid to rest in Laredo, TX.
