The uninvited guest has returned after a brief respite of easy breathing on Saturday morning.
Those-in-the-know got out before noon Saturday to attend farmers markets, art fairs and any number of outdoor activities before wildfire smoke began infiltrating the Sheboygan County air during the early afternoon hours.

A statewide Air Quality Advisory was issued at midday Saturday to be in effect until noon on Monday. Regional air quality monitors were indicating a level that’s unhealthy for sensitive groups by 3 PM this Saturday, and levels that are unhealthy for the entire population are anticipated from later this afternoon through the day on Sunday. The highest ground-level smoke concentration is expected tonight through Sunday morning.

Dry weather was expected through the weekend, but a chance of thunderstorms affecting all of southern Wisconsin by Monday afternoon and evening could turn severe, with the risk level now assigned 2-out-of-5, and all hazards including rain, wind, hail, lightning and tornadoes are considered possibilities.
