Hector “Joe” G. Parra, 94, of Sheboygan, passed away July 15, 2026 at Rocky Knoll in Plymouth. He was born on March 7, 1932 in Mexico City, Mexico, to the late Fernando and Raquel (Valera) Parra. He attended the University of Mexico and the Institute of Dry Cleaning in Maryland. He was united in marriage to Darlene B. Wolske in Cicero, Illinois.
Joe came to the United States in search of opportunities in the dry-cleaning industry. He owned Economy Cleaner in Sheboygan. Joe also held various other jobs, including a position at Ebenreiter Lumber Co. He retired in July 1994 from Plastics Engineering in Sheboygan.
He was a longtime member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Above all, he was a tailor by trade. Joe was a skilled handyman; you could always find him tinkering with or building something. He was an avid jokester and an excellent dancer.
Joe is survived by his children, Lee (Monica) Parra of Kiel, Charles (Cheryl) Parra of Elkhart Lake, Raquel (Robert) Speciale of Casade and Curt (Toni) Parra of Buckeye, AZ; daughter-in-law, Jodi Parra of Sheboygan Falls. He is further survived by his nephews, David (Tammy) Wichmann of Lexington, SC and Keith (Kelly) Wichmann of Elkhart Lake; grandchildren, Peter (Angela) Moeller, Elaine (Josh) Robinson, Malinda Moyer, Tyler (Melissa) Parra, Stefanie (Norbie) Vogel, Nate (Moriah) Jennerman, Caleb (Kate) Jennermann, Frank Speciale, Christina Speciale, Jennifer Parra-Nelsen, Terra (Jorge Godbert) Armstrong, Alex (Amber) Magritz, Danika (Jesse) Dailey and Alex (Ashley) Wichmann; many great-grandchildren; Jerri Sue Parra; loving family in Mexico; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Darlene Parra and son Joseph M. Parra.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 623 Ontario Ave in Sheboygan with Rev. Ruth Hallstead officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9:00-10:00AM at the church. He will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.
