If you have outdoor plans for tomorrow afternoon through the evening hours, then you’ll want to be weather-aware as conditions are coming together for potentially severe thunderstorms.
A cold front moving through the area from northwest to southeast is expected to generate a broken line of storms that could produce strong winds, heavy rainfall and cloud-to-ground lightning. A 2-in-5 risk of reaching severe levels exists basically north of a Madison to Sheboygan line with a lesser threat to the south.
Timing is uncertain for now, and storms could arrive later in the night. Forecasters are advising to keep up with forecasts as better information becomes available.
