The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center has been receiving a number of calls from citizens advising them that someone is representing themselves as “Lieutenant Williams” of the Sheriff’s Office. This person and/or group is asking for the individuals to call them back. If you do, then the person on the other end of the line will try getting personal information or money from the victim.
If there is ever a question about whether or not an officer or employee of the Sheriff’s Office called you, feel free to call the non-emergency number (920-459-3111) to confirm the person is who they say they are.
By the way, the Sheriff’s Office does not have a Lt. Williams!
