Sandra Lee Peterson, 84, of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on June 30, 2026.
Sandy was born August 4, 1941, the daughter of Leonard McCue and Beatrice (Goll) McCue in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and was a graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School.
She married her husband, Robert Peterson, on June 20, 1959, in a double wedding with her sister Janet and brother-in-law Ernie Carlson. Together they shared 67 years of marriage.
Her hobbies included golfing, reading, playing bridge, completing puzzles, ceramics, porcelain painting and tending to her flowers. She also crocheted over 450 baby hats which were donated to local hospitals. Traveling with her husband to all 50 United States and abroad also filled her time.
She was a Campfire board member and leader, member of the Sheboygan Falls Jaycettes, Friends of the Library and Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry. She loved to golf and was very proud of her hole-in-one along with her favorite part of the game; putting with her little blue putter.
She is survived by her husband Bob; children Vickie (Dan) Meyer, Scott (Debi) Peterson and Terri Peterson. Grandchildren Becky (Jake) Murray, Sarah (Patrick) Costello, Steph (Cory) Wunsch, and Nick Peterson. Great grandchildren, Henry and James Murray, Lyana and Emma Costello and Owen Wunsch. She is further survived by nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Thelma Brockman, Charlotte Stevens, Janet Carlson and Clyde McCue, mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Wilma Peterson and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their professional and compassionate care in her final days.
A memorial service honoring Sandy’s life will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 104 Elm Street, Sheboygan Falls on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 1: 00pm with Father Jonah Heiser officiating. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 11:00am until the time of service. Private family burial to follow at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
