There’s been little relief to be had from the intense heat smothering Sheboygan County along with much of the midwest, nor is much expected in the short term.
A 3:30 AM reading of 80º may represent the low for today, and forecasters expect Sheboygan to at least repeat Tuesday’s high of 93 and maybe stay below Tuesday’s heat index that peaked at 106…but that’s a big “maybe”. An Extreme Heat Warning continues through 7 this evening, and may be repeated on Thursday.

Relief may come in the form of thunderstorms – a mixed blessing as they could also produce damaging hail, high winds and torrential downpours. A 5-9 AM window was given for the first round, while another set could move through this evening through early Thursday morning.
