An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect from now until 7 PM Wednesday for the southern 2/3 of Wisconsin as a hot, muggy air mass is parked over the nation’s midsection. While the Sheboygan County Airport reached only 85º yesterday, we likely won’t be as lucky today as temperatures soar into the 90s and heat index values are expected to hit triple digits.
The immediate Lake Michigan shoreline areas should be a little cooler, and with gentler waves than yesterday the beaches should be a good place to cool off. But those without air conditioning will get little relief overnight as feel-like temperatures remain in the mid-upper 70s.

Wednesday’s heat is expected to mostly repeat today’s experience, but forecasters are looking at some possible relief on Thursday and Friday thanks to thunderstorms that could develop. Until then, summer heat will be hard to beat.
