A major push to replace lead service lines in Sheboygan Falls will mean weeks of road closures and detours beginning Monday, July 6th. Portions of Monroe, Hickory and Michigan Streets will be closed for associated road construction. While residents and businesses on those streets will still have access, traffic will be strictly local only, and alternate routes are being encouraged. That will be especially needed when that portion of Monroe Street, also known as Lower Falls Road – a main access route – closes fully between Broadway and Water Streets for about two weeks on a schedule yet-to-be determined…likely in early August.
Following that work, a portion of Pine Street will undergo similar construction.
