Antone E. Wenos, 82, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning, June 23, 2026.
Born October 7, 1943, in Iron River, Michigan, Antone was the son of the late Antone and Theresa (Aman) Wenos. He attended Iron River schools and graduated from Iron River High School. On January 12, 1965, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dianne Kay Nichols.
Tony owned and operated Wenos Lumber Company in Iron River, MI for 20 years before his retirement. He volunteered his time by serving on the Bank Board, President of the School Board and many other organizations. He enjoyed trap shooting, golfing, puzzles and reading. His greatest joy was spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dianne; his children, Vincent (Kelly) Wenos, Carmel, IN, Tracy Wilson, Sheboygan, and Rachel (Ira) Denis, Sault Ste Marie, MI; his grandchildren, Chelsea (Jake) Dean, Nicholas Wenos, Delaney (Nick) Tanner, Jordyn (Christopher) Trebilcott, McKenzie Denis, Parker Denis, Theresa (Jack) Dykema, Emily Wilson, and Anthony Wilson, his great-grandchildren; Ellie and Sadie Trebilcott and Harper Tanner. He is further survived by his former son-in-law, Jeffrey Wilson; his sister-in-law, Nancy George, brother-in-law, Tim Nichols; nieces Gail (Rory) Ciepela and Brenda (Paul) Kienlen; other relatives and many friends.
Besides his parents, Antone and Theresa, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Fred and Fern Nichols, his sister, Diana (Bill) Rosseau and great-granddaughter Josie Trebilcott.
A Private Family Service will be held for Antone per his wishes.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Embrace for all of their loving care and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Alzheimer’s Association in Antone’s name.
