Roughly one-third of the way through, the project to resurface and rehab I-43 between Wilson Lima Road and State Highway 42 will continue to present challenges to motorists navigating past, in, and out of Sheboygan for the next few months.
Operations to rehab various structures in both directions continues and crews are removing and replacing right-of-way fencing between Highways 28 and 42. Significant slowing of traffic is common due to milling and paving along the length of the project, and this week will see guardrail installation and pavement marking from State Highway 42 to Sheboygan County Highway O.
Also, the Highway V interchange is undergoing paving operations with the northbound on and off ramps experiencing full closures both Monday and Tuesday, June 15 and 16 between 5 AM and 8 PM. The southbound ramps will be fully closed during those same hours on Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18.
