Ozaukee County Authorities are trying to find a bicyclist who was struck in the Town of Fredonia by a driver who then fled the scene. The accident happened at around 8:35 this Tuesday morning when a bicyclist was struck by a silver Ford Escape bearing Illinois plate while traveling westbound on Fredonia Kohler Road near the intersection of County Highway H. That driver was later located and arrested on other charges.
Witnesses to the accident told authorities that the bicyclist left the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived, and Deputies would like to speak to the victim in order to determine their condition and obtain other information.
The bicyclist is described as a white male operating what is believed to have been an eBike, which likely sustained significant damage to the rear wheel from the crash.
The bicyclist, or anyone knowing of someone matching his description is asked to contact the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office by calling (262) 284-7172, and referring to incident #26-12162.
