Sheboygan County Courthouse
A jury trial begins today for a person shot by Sheboygan police while being apprehended in February of 2024.
25-year-old Tommie Dixon was charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide after he lunged at officers responding to reports of someone waiving a gun in the air. Dixon had disarmed one officer before being shot. He was wanted for bail jumping at the time.
His trial before Judge Rebecca Persick is expected to take four days.
