Having good weather for Memorial Day in Sheboygan is always a gamble, given that past years have been anything from cold and rainy to hot and sticky, but this year’s experience was nearly perfect. With barely a sprinkle to show for it, clouds kept parade watchers and participants comfortable and the smell of brats on the grill could be found nearly anywhere, but especially at Fountain Park where people gathered for observances after the parade.
There was one unplanned event with a large turnout; over a dozen Sheboygan Police Vehicles were counted at DeLand Park at around 7:30 Monday night. There were no official reports of the reasons, although social media posts mentioned the arrest of one person and a medical response for pain experienced by that subject. No further information was released.
