A man who took the lives of an Oostburg couple and seriously injured their daughter in a wrong-way incident on I-43 a year ago will spend 30 years in prison. The sentence was imposed Tuesday in Ozaukee County Circuit Court against Ace Vue after begin charged with two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and one count of injury by intoxicated use. Vue had pled no contest to the charges.
The criminal complaint said Vue was driving in Ozaukee County at high speed in the wrong lanes of I-43 at 12:30 AM last May 26th and swerved around numerous vehicles before colliding head-on, taking the lives of Jay and Nicole Horne of Oostburg, and seriously injuring their 22-year-old daughter, Alissa. Vue will spend 25 years on probation once his sentence is complete.
