A new McDonald’s restaurant may be coming to central Sheboygan. The City Plan Commission will consider a proposal to bring the fast-food giant to 1221 Erie Avenue across the street from the Gateway Apartments.
McDonald’s has applied through a representative, Permit Solutions of Ohio on behalf of Taylor Properties LLC of Kohler, to operate the restaurant on the former EBCO Venture Center. That same property, then known as the EBCO Venture Center, was condemned and under foreclosure after Taylor Properties defaulted on several loans.
A Conditional Use Permit is being sought during Tuesday’s 4 PM meeting at City Hall. The restaurant, outfitted for both parking and drive-thru service, would serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The CUP is required in order for the restaurant to offer drive-thru service.
