11 Wisconsin hospitals operated by Aurora Health Care, including Aurora Medical Center-Sheboygan County, have earned “A” ratings for excellence in patient safety from The Leapfrog Group as part of its Spring 2026 report card. That represents the most top grades out of all Wisconsin Health Systems.
Among the organization’s 11 hospitals recognized, Aurora Medical Centers in Grafton and Washington County received the elite “Straight A” designation, having sustained an “A” grade for the past five or more grading rounds. Only 15% of hospitals in the Spring 2026 grading cycle attained that honor.
The Leapfrog Group annually evaluates nearly 3,000 general hospitals nationwide, twice each year, taking into consideration errors, accidents, injuries, infections and systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
