Lois (Beernink) Dulmes, 97, of Oostburg, passed into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday night, April 28, 2026, at her home.
Lois was born on July 20, 1928, to Ben and Lila Ten Haken. On September 18, 1946, she married Glen Beernink. Together, they worked on their dairy farm for many years. After Glen’s passing in 1990, Lois married Wayne Dulmes on February 14, 1995.
A woman of great faith, Lois dedicated her life to caring for her family and others. She found great joy in quilting, completing puzzles, and playing the piano.
Lois is survived by her children, Sally (Glenn) DenHollander, Lynn Westerbeke, Faye (Vern) Frier, David (Cheryl) Beernink and Sherri (Tim) Lensen; stepdaughter, Judy (Glen) Blok; and stepsons, Kenneth (Debbie) Dulmes, Robert Dulmes, and Larry (Mary) Dulmes. She is further survived by many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Beernink; her second husband, Wayne Dulmes; sister, Elvira (LeRoy) Sandee; brother, Erv (Pearl) Ten Haken; and daughter, Mary (Jack) Prisinger.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Hingham Reformed Church with Pastor Barrett Marcantel officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will take place privately at Oostburg Cemetery.
A memorial fund is being established in her name for Hingham Reformed Church and WVCY Radio.
