Sargento has expanded its retail footprint with a new store in St. Cloud. The local cheese giant has partnered with Baker Cheese to open the Francis Baker Cheese Store, a new retail destination celebrating the legacy of innovation and community spirit. Francis Baker is a second-generation family owner and a significant innovator in the cheese industry, particularly for his role in developing string cheese.
The store at Sargento’s St. Cloud facility on Fond du Lac County Road G some 5 miles southwest of Greenbush was given a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.

Visitors to the newly-opened store will find a diverse selection of Sargento and Baker Cheese products alongside unique merchandise, serving as a hub for cheese enthusiasts and a testament to Francis Baker’s legacy of innovation and community involvement.
