Five Fond du Lac residents are awaiting court appearances after authorities executed search warrants and made arrests on Thursday morning.
Investigators with the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group Drug Unit, in coordination with the City of Fond du Lac Police Department Community Impact Unit and other FDLPD members, executed the warrant in the area of 5th Street between Main Street and Marr Street.
Five individuals – all from the City of Fond du Lac – were taken into custody on charges related to the illegal possession of firearms and multiple controlled substances including methamphetamine, fentanyl, prescription medications, and marijuana. The suspects include a 38-year-old male, a 37-year-old male, a 27-year-old female, and a 26-year-old female. A fifth individual – a 37-year-old male – was arrested but not taken into custody.
The investigation continues and formal charges will be referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office.
