The person who was struck by a passing semi on I-43 after having exited his roadside vehicle has been identified.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said that 48-year-old Jason T. Landgraf of Sheboygan lost his life in the incident that occurred shortly before 4:15 PM on Sunday. While the investigation continues, it was reported that the incident had nothing to do with current road construction on I-43 in Sheboygan County, and there was no evidence of alcohol, drugs, speed or weather being factors in the crash that occurred near Garton Road on I-43 northbound.
Incident reconstruction is still underway by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
