With soils already soaked, the last thing needed right now is more rain. But there it is.
Forecasters expect the Sheboygan area to likely receive around 2/3 of an inch of rain tonight, adding an extra soaking to Thursday’s inch-plus amounts. Rainfall aside, there’s also a 1-in-5 risk that thunderstorms passing through tonight could produce hail up to an inch in diameter.
Storms could begin moving through as early as sunset, but the most intense line is now expected between midnight and 3 AM.

NOAA Graphic
Hydrologists with NOAA now expect the Sheboygan River to crest at 6.6 feet on Saturday, and return below “Action” stage by early Monday morning. Within the Action stage, minor lowland flooding is likely, and some marina docks and piers in Sheboygan may become covered.
