Sheboygan and surrounding counties have been tagged with a slight risk of severe thunderstorms beginning this afternoon. A 2-in-5 chance of storms containing damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain covers the region, while an enhanced risk exists from Milwaukee to Madison to Plattville and southward. Especially to the south toward the Illinois border, an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.

NWS Graphic
Morning rain with embedded, but garden-variety thunderstorms will cross from southwest to northeast much of the day with a few brief breaks. Those breaks hold the key to what comes next. Longer breaks raise the potential for the development of scattered severe storms between 3 and 6 PM. Those should give way to an organized line that passes through between 6 and 10 PM when damaging winds present the main threat, while isolated large hail and tornadoes are less of a threat, but are still possible.
The public is advised to keep up with developments through the day.
