NEW ORLEANS, LA (WHBL) – Aaron Rodgers’ third touchdown pass of the night proved to be the difference as the Green Bay Packers slipped past the Saints 37-30 in New Orleans on Sunday night. He found Robert Tonyan from a yard out with two minutes left to put Green Bay ahead 37-27.
The Saints hit a 34-yard field goal with 32 seconds left, but the onside kick went out of bounds.
Rodgers was 21-of-32 for 283 yards, three TD’s and no picks as the Pack improved to 3-0. Allen Lazard had six catches for 146 yards and a touchdown.
Drew Brees passed for 288 yards and three scores for New Orleans, which fell to 1-2. Alvin Kamara had six carries for 58 yards, including a 49-yard jaunt, and also hauled in 13 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns for the Saints.
The Packers will host the Atlanta Falcons next Monday night.
