Manitowoc’s new Police Chief starts the job today. Assistant Police Chief John Musial will be sworn in this afternoon, taking the reigns from Chief Nick Reimer.
The new Chief is a Manitowoc native who was hired by the Manitowoc police department in 2009. Musial served about 10 years on patrol before being promoted to a lieutenant and captain, and attained his role as Assistant Chief of Police in 2025.
