Spring Break season is here, and recent global events have increased the costs whether you’re driving or flying.
Fuel costs are still rising following Middle East conflicts that have strangled crude oil deliveries. As a result, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline jumped nearly 35 cents since last week’s already surging prices, while jet fuel has seen similar rises.
Current prices are similar to the spring of 2024. Triple-A says that the demand for gasoline normally increases this time of year as the weather warms up and more drivers hit the road. Crude oil prices play a major role in what drivers pay at the pump, and prices have surpassed the $100/
Here in Sheboygan, Triple-A reports the average price for a gallon of regular gas is up to 3.35 a gallon—that’s up 24 cents a gallon from last week and up 50 cents from this time last year.
