Gertrude “Cookie” L. Langlois, age 73, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Tarfa Terrace Assisted Living in Fond du Lac. She was born on February 21, 1953, to the late Frank and Erna Hameister Jakel.
Cookie attended local schools. She was united in marriage to Melvin Langlois in Sheboygan. Cookie was employed by various employers in the Sheboygan area throughout the years.
She enjoyed crocheting, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Langlois, of Sheboygan; two sons, Tony (Lorel) Krueger, of Fond du Lac, and Jesse Krueger, of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Donna Sorens, John Staaben, Jeff Staaben, Rose Krueger, and Ian Krueger; four great-grandchildren, Jazlynn, Juliet, Draygon, Zaria; her sisters-in-law, Pauline Fredericks, Linda Repphun, and Lisa (Robert) Stobbe; two brothers-in-law, Russell (Karen) Korbele, and Craig (Sandra) Langlois. Many other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings.
A celebration of life for Cookie will be held at a later date.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at Tarfa Terrace and Lutheran Homes in Fond du Lac, and Commonheart Hospice for the compassion and care that was given to Cookie.
