Special Voting Deputies appointed by the City of Sheboygan will conduct the sessions for facility residents, as well as any other qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at their designated polling place on Election Day Tuesday, April 7th. A qualified elector is defined as any US citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election.
The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. The mail-in registration deadline is 20 days before election day, however Wisconsin offers in-person registration up to and including on Election Day. More information is available at vote.gov/register/wisconsin
Family members of facility residents may be present at the time of voting, and only observers from each of the two majority parties may accompany the deputies to each facility where absentee voting will take place.
