Michael G. Reiner, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the age of 68, after a short brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Throughout the short journey he displayed incredible strength, courage, and unwavering hope, never letting the diagnosis define him. Mike had lots of aspirations for the future. He recently retired, had goals to work on his cars, and attend car enthusiast events. He was looking forward to enjoying the summers to come and making memories with his grandchildren, family, and friends.
Mike was born on October 28, 1957 in Sheboygan, to the late Steve and Audrey (Meulbroek) Reiner. He graduated from North High School in 1976. After graduating, he went on to pursue a job at Paper Box & Specialty Company, to which he dedicated himself to for 48 years. He had a strong work ethic and built many friendships there to last a lifetime.
Mike was a man of kindness, strength and generosity, whose memory will continue to shine brightly, guiding us through our darkest of days. Though his disease took him way too soon, he leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will forever live in our hearts. Mike touched countless lives as a mentor and friend, always offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear. He will be deeply missed by those who were lucky enough to know him.
He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply including two children, Matthew (River) Reiner and Kate Reiner; grandchildren, Jettson and Elliana Reiner; sister Nancy (Pete) DeBoer; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends further survive, along with his special friend, Nancy Morris.
Along with his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dan (Helen) Meulbroek and his paternal grandparents, Carl (Kornelia) Reiner.
He is now resting peacefully, free from pain. We are eternally grateful for the time we had with him. Before leaving, Mike wanted everyone to know, “Your health is your wealth.”
