One-quarter to one-half inches of rain fell over Sheboygan County through midday Friday as a mild spring storm progresses through the area. With partially-frozen ground, most rain was still standing in low-lying ponded areas, or had run off into streams and rivers. But even heavier rainfall may still occur.

Showers were still moving through the county at 3 PM and could continue until around 5, with some storms having strong potential, however those conditions were mostly seen in Wisconsin’s southern tier of counties.

NWS Graphic
After a break lasting until about 10 PM, forecasters are confident that a widespread area of storms, some producing damaging winds, hail, heavy rain, and possibly a few brief tornadoes will cross the area. Additional rain could total 1-2 inches area wide, with possible 2-3 inch amounts if storms train across the same area.

NWS Graphic
Forecasters do expect thunderstorms to depart before daybreak Saturday, with rain mostly done by mid-morning with breezy conditions and temperatures falling from the 50s into the 40s.
