Carol Jean Schram, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026. She was born on September 26, 1939 in Fond du Lac to the late Grant and Florence (Kimpel) Williams. She was a 1957 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac. Carol attended UW Oshkosh and Ripon College, and in 1971, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. In 1968, she married the love of her life, Fred Schram, at First Presbyterian Church in Fond du Lac. Together, they raised a daughter, Lora.
Carol was a beloved teacher in the towns of Granton, Loyal, and White Lake Wisconsin. When the family moved to Sheboygan Falls in 1980, she worked at Bemis Co. and Kohls Department Store until her retirement in 2006. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting with flowers, stamping cards, and scrapbooking. She was a loyal member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #139 in Sheboygan, Chapter #289 of Fond du Lac, and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Bethel Shrine #2 Oshkosh. She was strong in her faith, and knew her relationship with Jesus. Carol was a long-time member of First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, serving as a member of the choir and the handbell choir. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. A special fun time for her was traveling to every county in Wisconsin on interesting road trips with her daughter Lora. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Dimensions Living in Sheboygan for their care and compassion for Carol and her family.
Carol is survived by her daughter Lora (Tom) DeSombre, her sister Eileen Bethke, sister-in-law Jane Schram, and brother-in-law Richard Faris. She is further survived by her special friend Sue Schoening, her nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
