A registered nurse or physician is being sought to serve on the Sheboygan County Health & Human Services Committee for a three-year term. County Administrator Alayne Krause announced the opening on Monday for a qualified person to help provide oversight to Sheboygan County’s Health and Human Services Department. That division is responsible for a wide range of human services including healthcare, public health, mental health treatment, services for developmental disabilities, general relief, income support, substance abuse services, and assistance for children, youth and older adults. The focus is to provide community services and facilities that help prevent and improve social, mental, and physical issues.
There are some requirements: a qualified candidate must be a registered voter and a resident of Sheboygan County. Candidates should also have experience and interest in human services, with priority given to a registered nurse of physician.
County Administrator Alayne Krause is responsible for making the citizen appointment, with the appointment conditional upon County Board confirmation.
