Anyone needing to spend time outdoors this Monday might hope the weather forecasters are wrong, but unfortunately they seem to have hit a bullseye once again as temperatures and winds have combined to prompt the National Weather Service to issue a Cold Weather Advisory in effect until noon today for all of southern Wisconsin.
Early morning temperatures at the Sheboygan County Airport were in the single digits, while winds near 15 MPH made it feel like closer to 12 below zero. Chill factors could reach as low as 25 below zero this morning, and with expectations that highs probably won’t exceed 10 above today, the winds will keep conditions close to advisory levels even with afternoon sunshine.
Not much improvement is in the forecast until later this week when wind chills finally ease above zero for the first time on Friday afternoon.
