The Sheboygan Water Utility said that a water main on Sheboygan’s south side broke on Tuesday morning, cutting service to about a dozen customers in that area.
The break, likely caused by the extended cold weather, happened on Kentucky Avenue between South 12th and South 13th Streets, and resulted in water being shut off for about four hours. Crews worked through intensely cold conditions to restore service by around 2 PM.
The break is the third one dealt with by the utility within a week’s time.
