WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump, in excerpts of a speech he is to deliver on Tuesday morning to the United Nations General Assembly, will say the UN “must hold China accountable for their actions” related to the coronavirus pandemic.
“The Chinese government, and the World Health Organization – which is virtually controlled by China – falsely declared that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission,” Trump will say.
“Later, they falsely said people without symptoms would not spread the disease…The United Nations must hold China accountable for their actions,” he will say.
