A Shooting on Sheboygan’s near south side has left one person dead, another injured, and suspects on the run. The Sheboygan Police Department said that despite that outcome, there is no known threat to the public.
They explain in a Sunday morning release that shortly after 8 PM Saturday they were called to the report of a shooting inside a residence in the 1300 block of South 10th Street involving multiple victims.
The first arriving officers encountered a 19-year-old male and an 18-year-old female who had both sustained gunshot wounds, and along with EMTs began immediate lifesaving efforts. The 19-year-old man was transported to Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan where he later died of his injuries. The 18-year-old woman was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital for immediate care before being transferred for more comprehensive treatment to a Green Bay hospital.
The SPD says that their initial investigation indicates that even though the suspects fled before their arrival, all parties involved were known to one another, and that this was an isolated incident. They added that there is no known threat to the public.
