Unusually mild weather has spent its due time, and now winter is ready to reclaim its territory. That will be evident as snow breaks out this evening in advance of the arrival of cold air this weekend.
Round-1 will be in the form of an inch of snow from the evening commute through late tonight, eventually creating slippery road conditions. Following the snow, a period of intermittent snow and freezing drizzle is forecast from tonight through midday Friday, unfortunately becoming most likely during the Friday morning commute. Later Friday, brief, but intense snow showers possible for the afternoon. But even after all is said and done, snow should amount to only around 2 inches.
