Only minor changes have been seen in drought conditions around Sheboygan County, with minor improvements seen in the southern portion.
The US Drought Information System says that just under 2/3 (64.4%) of Sheboygan County, mostly the northern portion, is experiencing a Moderate Drought, while a small bordering portion (6.31%) is identified as Abnormally Dry” with the remainder of southern Sheboygan County now relieved of such conditions.
Given long-range forecasts, it’s likely that drought will persist in the northern 2/3 of Sheboygan County for the next month, while the seasonal (90-day) outlook expects drought to end in that portion, putting all of Sheboygan County in a favorable position for the spring planting season.
