A short Winter Weather Advisory was issued shortly after 8 AM today for southern Wisconsin including Sheboygan County. Rapidly falling air temperatures over wet surfaces have caused flash-freezing on area roadways, creating slippery roads, especially from the Kettle Moraine westward, according to Wisconsin’s 511 Road Service. The advisory is in effect until 10 AM.
A crash shortly after 6 AM on I-43 northbound at Highway 23 had blocked the right shoulder, and scattered incidents were noted throughout eastern Wisconsin at 8 AM
