A winter weather system has exhausted most of its snow potential over Wisconsin, prompting the National Weather Service to cancel the Winter Storm Warning, and replacing it with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 PM in Sheboygan County.
Snowfall was generally between 1 and 3 inches overnight and came to an end by 8 AM Monday. An additional inch may accumulate by 6 PM, leaving the primary concern that of wind gusting as high as 45 MPH, keeping what snow that has fallen mobile enough to occasionally reduce visibility and keep roads slick. A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 this evening for gusts possibly reaching 50 MPH.

While a Storm Warning remains in effect for the open waters of Lake Michigan, winds remain offshore, keeping 15-20-foot waves from inundating our shoreline, yet keeping even the nearshore waters dangerously rough. Nearshore waters are under a Gale Warning with northwest winds gusting to 45 knots and waves of 5-8 feet.
