No change in soil moisture has been recorded within the past week, leaving the majority of Sheboygan County in the likely position to end 2025 in a moderate drought. Approximately the southern third of the County is described as “abnormally dry”, and 2025 is shaping up as the 30th driest of the past 131 years on record with a shortage of 3.22 inches of moisture compared to normal so far.
With the first three months of 2026 likely to experience near or above normal precipitation – along with near normal temperatures – the National Weather Service says that it’s likely that Sheboygan County should enter the spring with adequate moisture.
