The National Weather Service is advising of a brutal influx of arctic air, and has issued Cold Weather Advisories for southern Wisconsin including Sheboygan County. The advisories are in effect from midnight tonight until 10 AM on Sunday in light of expected wind chills of -15 to -28 degrees late tonight for much of southern Wisconsin, and with chills of -15 to -30 expected Saturday into Sunday night. Under such conditions, frostbite can set into exposed skin within as little as a half an hour.

Following the expected expiration of the advisories, bitter cold conditions will still exist, but the wind chills will generally be between -10 and -20 degrees.

For those seeking relief, temperatures are predicted to exceed the freezing mark as early as Tuesday, and could break 40 degrees on Wednesday.
