A one-two set of weather systems is poised to present problems for commuters Tuesday morning, and in general Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Much as below-freezing weather has dominated the past several days, an influx of warm air could complicate things overnight as some light snow after 11 PM or so becomes mixed with freezing rain between 2 and 8 AM Tuesday. While snow will probably amount to only an inch of snow at most, a less-than-one-tenth of an inch of freezing rain could make the morning commute an unwelcome adventure for travelers.

NWS Graphic
After things settle down by midday, round two will approach. With temperatures either side of freezing, snow is expected to begin around 5 PM, accumulating some 2 inches by midnight. Snow continues, with a chance of rain mixed in, especially between midnight and 3 AM, possibly holding down accumulations which, for now, are expected to add up to between 3 and 5 inches in Sheboygan County. Accordingly, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued from 6 PM Tuesday until 6 AM Wednesday.
Cold air then rushes in from the north, driving lows into the single digits either side of zero for the rest of the week, with highs limited to the teens.
